Capturing the moment.
Whether it be beautiful, or poignant, art for me is holding onto that moment; to make it last, to immerse myself in it, and to create something which captures the experience. Each painting has a place in my heart - a memory, a feeling. Sharing this experience with others, and knowing that my art has a place in their homes gives me great joy.
Artistic expression has always been a driving force for me. I began my career in broadcasting, and later, while raising my children, I sang soprano in a professional choir. When my schedule opened up, I returned to an early passion for painting, and began taking classes with the excellent teachers at the Homer Watson Gallery. Practicing my craft became a daily intention. During the pandemic it became a saving grace.
The goal is to continue to find those moments…
